Oh no, I am not asking you to change your brain! Our brain gets used to a daily routine that becomes monotonous after a while. So start doing something completely different each day than the usual chores.
You can take a walk on a new pathway. Lock up your television set in the closet for a week. Try driving to work using a different street. Celebrate ‘left-hand’ day and do everything using your left hand that day. All these exercises/ activities are aimed to make your brain capable of handling varied environments and situations confidently.
Do you have any more ideas on this?

Every one of us has problems. While solving your problems try to find out a list of probable solutions for it at the same time. It is not advisable to think about what has gone wrong but you have to live in present and think of some answer to your difficulty.
Try and spend your energy and time for devising a solution and not think about the past. Our brain needs positive thinking to work better and think of various fresh ideas. So coach your brain to have a forward-looking outlook so that it can produce good solutions for your problems.

It is a common belief that one cannot succeed without any emotional or physical pain. It is actually not the case each time. Some obstacles are expected when you wish to succeed and you have to be prepared for it as well.
You should learn from other’s mistakes and not repeat them again. A mentally tough person is he who works very hard for attaining that desired win and also has the patience to wait for it to come. Remember that mental training has to start from you and it is not that difficult. You should go with the flow and results will be evident.

Time and again, experts imbibe on us- “You are greater than anything that can happen to you!” Nobody is born as a mentally tough individual. However this is one quality that we can develop over time.
Start reading autobiographies and listen to various audio programs that tell about successful persons who have had to face great difficulties and failures to reach where they are now. You can also browse for such inspirational stories on the internet or in magazines.
Soon you will realize that these winners are just like you and me! So go ahead and reach for the sky!

As a part of mental coaching, the students are exposed to various techniques for the same. They are also prescribed certain exercises to be done regularly. I have also told you how our brain needs enough rest and a healthy diet to work well.
Along with all this, you can try meditation. There are some breathing exercises and yoga postures that will help you improve focus and relieve your stress for a much longer attention span. You need not be a pro to meditate…simply sit relaxed with your folded legs and breathe deeply. Do this for at least 5 minutes every day and see the difference!

After a hard day at work, when you are back home it is obvious that you would freshen up and head for the television set. This is the natural reaction of most of us as we consider the television as a ‘good’ source of entertainment. Moreover, it is much easier to switch on to a TV than play some mind games.
But the truth is that watching TV is a totally passive activity that does not require much of your brain power. So train your brain all through the day by providing mental stimulus in the form of other activities.

Now that I am sharing some lifestyle changes that you can adopt for a brilliant brain, this one is easy to do. All you need to do is consume a balanced diet consisting of fresh fruits, vegetables, pulses, cereals, nuts etc. Try and feed your body organic and natural foods and stay away from junk food like pizzas and pastries.
When your body is rich in nutrients and the required vitamins, the same is fed to the brain as well. This way your brain works with clarity and becomes more efficient. Isn’t this as simple as I told you before?
